Book Riot’s 2025 Read Harder Challenge

For 2025, I’ve completed all prompts in Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge. There are 24 prompts, which average out to two prompts per month, and they “invite readers to explore formats, genres, and perspectives that might go beyond their reading comfort zones.”

“Star Cats” shirt from Geek Tropical (modified)

For my first-time order from Geek Tropical, I chose the beautiful “Star Cats” curvy button-up shirt. The shirt fit a little more tightly than I expected it to, so I added some side panels to give it a more relaxed fit. I’m very happy with this shirt and will definitely order other patterns but in a larger size.

Celebrating Children’s Book Week in SRCSA library

It’s Children’s Book Week, a time to celebrate books for young people and the joy of reading. During read-alouds this week in SRCSA library, I’ve shared the opening chapter from Dav Pilkey’s A Friend for Dragon. It’s one among a boxful of books and other amazing resources from Every Child a Reader and the Children’s Book Council, in partnership with Dav Pilkey and Scholastic. I’ve also been sharing activity pages from the Dog Man and Friends Epic Activity Guide.
