Bellview Elementary School library ‘Top 10’

Graphic storytelling dominated the Bellview Elementary School library “Top 10” for April, with four of 10 titles on the list.

Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid series captured two places, with Rodrick Rules at No. 2 and The Last Straw at No. 10. And Big Nate Goes for Broke by Lincoln Peirce and Eyes of the Storm by Jeff Smith made places 6 and 7 respectively.

Among books put on display for National Poetry Month, the most-frequent check-outs were to titles by Shel Silverstein. His book of poems and drawings, Where the Sidewalk Ends, made No. 5 on the Bellview “Top 10.”

This month’s selections are:
  1. Ghost Town at Sundown by Mary Pope Osborne (FIC OSB)
  2. Rodrick Rules by Jeff Kinney (FIC KIN)
  3. The Beast in Ms. Rooney’s Room by Patricia Reilly Giff (FIC GIF)
  4. A Picnic, Hurrah! by Franz Brandenberg (E BRA)
