SOLIS hosts latest in ‘Conversations’ series

UCM’s Student Organization of Library and Information Services (SOLIS) held the latest in its “Conversations” series on March 3, 2022, featuring Sarah Craig, UCM director of sponsored programs and research integrity.

Craig’s presentation contained several practical suggestions about writing grant proposals, such as structuring your proposal to match the review guidelines and using color to accentuate headings and subheadings in your proposal.

The SOLIS Chapter Meeting took place after Craig’s presentation. Highlights of this meeting included news of officer vacancies due to office-holders about to graduate, as well as an update on UCM’s process toward accreditation with the American Library Association.

A primary take-away for me from this meeting was that SOLIS can find a place for people who are willing to volunteer. I definitely want to get involved, subject to existing commitments.
