📚 Finding 6-7 in the library: Kids knew exactly where to look! 📚
Readers, have you heard young people around you saying the phrase “6-7”? It’s been going viral among some of the students at SRCSA. SRCSA library: New arrivals in mid-to-late October 2025
Here is a slideshow featuring some new arrivals during mid-to-late October 2025: including picture books that support learning about consent and that foster self-awareness; and a nominee for the California Young Reader Medal, 2025-2026. There are new fiction books, and graphic novels, as well. And several books were purchased using Scholastic Book Fair dollars. Appreciation to our parents’ group for making these new additions possible. This slideshow was created in Canva. The music is Funky House by Nver Avetyan.

Replacing and updating book jackets with collage
Novels’ dust jackets go missing sometimes, which limits that book’s ability to attract potential readers. I’ve been using the art form of collage to replace and update books’ dust jackets.
