I use a template in Canva to design various pins. Once a design is to my liking, I download it as a JPG and then import it into a Google Slide that I’ve set up to create buttons in various sizes.
For the Pride-button project, I began by making pronoun pins. Later, in response to students’ requests, I made pins for various gender identities and sexual orientations. The buttons shown reflect identities expressed to me directly, as well as those expressed between students when they spoke with their peers.
