4,000 items cataloged in SRCSA resource inventory
Since May 2017, when I started working for Santa Rosa City Schools, I’ve created listings in the district’s resource-inventory catalog for more than than 4,000 items at Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts (SRCSA). That’s according to a “Resource Inventory Change Analysis” generated by Follett Destiny’s “Resource Manager.”
In May, there were no items in the online resource catalog for SRCSA, and when I stepped into the role of “Instructional Materials Technician” for SRCSA, I embraced and valued the ability to track resources when they are cataloged and barcoded.
I felt comfortable with that aspect of this role, as I have four years’ prior experience with cataloging books in a library. By the end of November, I’d documented more than 4,000 items — textbook sets, DVDs and musical instruments among them — at SRCSA. Shown here are newly-barcoded copies of a title in a classroom reading set.
