Given my gratitude this Thanksgiving as a lifetime user of libraries, it seems fitting to pass along word about a new library video campaign from One Man and His Beard, a “Libraryfied” version of The Bee Gees’ “Tragedy.”
His We Need Libraries song and video are nearing 10,000 views on YouTube. Look for me at the 2:52 mark among people who depend upon libraries.
For the new video, the artist seeks “photos of closed libraries and redundant librarians made unemployed by the cuts.” Send photos to weneedlibraries@gmail.com. The video is being produced for National Libraries Day in the United Kingdom (Feb. 7, 2015).
