Twitter and Storify at work

Record-Bee newsroom employees are supposed to use Twitter at work. People can post status updates with a limit of 140 characters. I was using Twitter already but now I’m using it as part of my regular routine at the Record-Bee.

The use of Twitter is part of a changing emphasis upon online rapid transmission of news instead of first-in-print to the next day's edition. The company that manages MediaNews Group newspapers -- Digital First Media -- is spearheading these rapid changes.

I'm trying to stay ahead of the curve by adopting the tools that Digital First Media promotes: work-related Twitter use, i.e. “crowdsourcing” content and a website called Storify that lets the user curate posts on Twitter into social narratives.
